Anne-Marie Boisvert

Mandate

The Vice Rector, Human Resources and Planning is responsible for all human resources matters to sustain recruitment of professors, administrative and support staff at the university.  The position also oversees planning and assigns resources to the university.

 Biography

Anne-Marie Boisvert has taught at the Faculty of Law at the university since 1987. She was Dean of the Faculty of Law from 2004 to 2008, and then Vice Dean delegated to negotiate with the Université de Montréal professors’ union. She is a member of the Quebec Bar since 1985. After earning her LLM from Harvard University she clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada to Justice Antonio Lamer from 1985 to 1986. Ms. Boisvert was a guest professor at several law faculties, including McGill University and the University of Ottawa as well as Nantes University, Aix-Marseille University and Lyon University in France.

Ms Boisvert is co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Canadian Journal of Criminal Law. She chaired the Quebec Bar Standing Committee on Criminal Law, the Quebec Provincial Police Complaints Committee and the Quebec government working group to update the Quebec policy of citizens’ justice management. She authored numerous publications and communiqués in the area of Canadian criminal law, corporate and international criminal law.
